The Foeder Helles was brewed as a classic Helles but then aged in an old 2500 Liter former wine foeder for a period of 3 years. The foeder was released from the winery due to a brettanomyces infection. We welcomed this unknown visitor and over time it transformed the beer and added a subtle fruity character.
